Stress Management Counseling
Therapy for people who are tired of pretending they’re fine.
When Stress Stops Being “Just Part of Life”
Everyone has stress. It’s practically the background music of adulthood. But there’s a difference between the kind of stress that gives you a nudge and the kind that turns every day into a marathon you never signed up for. Maybe you’ve been telling yourself you’re just busy, that things will calm down soon. Except they don’t. You wake up tired, go to bed wired, and spend your days wondering when you last had a moment that didn’t feel tense.
Sound familiar? You’re not broken, weak, or bad at adulting — you’re just maxed out. And no, pushing through one more week isn’t going to fix it.
When Stress Moves In and Refuses to Leave
You tell yourself you’re “fine” (and maybe even believe it for five seconds), but your body and brain have other ideas. You’re juggling deadlines, relationships, endless “shoulds,” and the constant buzz of your phone — all while trying to appear like a functioning human being.
The result? Trouble sleeping, snapping at people you love, feeling foggy, and running on caffeine.
Somehow you’ve convinced yourself that if you just keep going, you’ll catch up — but spoiler alert: the “catch-up” never arrives.
The kicker? Our culture practically celebrates this unsustainable mode of operation. You’ve been taught that exhaustion equals effort, and effort equals worth. But let’s be real: being tired all the time is not a badge of honor — it’s a red flag. And when stress becomes your default setting, life starts to feel like a blur of “just getting through the day” moments. Is that how you want life to pass you by?
Common signs stress might be taking the wheel:
You feel constantly “on edge” or anxious
You’re irritable or emotionally drained
Your sleep, appetite, or focus are all over the place
You’ve lost interest in things that used to make you happy
You keep telling yourself things will slow down… but they don’t
Stress Management Counseling That Actually Helps You Breathe Again
Why counseling with me works
At some point, white-knuckling through the day stops working. Stress is inevitable — but being consumed by it isn’t.
Stress management isn’t about patching leaks; it’s about finding the main valve — and that’s where counseling comes in.
In our sessions, we don’t just vent; we take action. Instead of more productivity hacks, you’ll learn practical strategies to calm your body, retrain your brain, and step out of fight-or-flight mode. We’ll look beneath the noise to uncover what’s fueling your stress — the patterns, expectations, and pressure to hold it all together — and build coping tools and boundaries that protect your time and energy.
This isn’t one-size-fits-all therapy. It’s real-life stress management designed to help you create space to breathe, make sustainable changes, and live in a calmer, more intentional way.

01.
Schedule Your Free Consultation Call
Start by filling out the contact form using the button below. I’ll follow up via email with a link to my calendar so you can choose a time that works for you. During our 20-minute phone call, we’ll discuss your goals, I’ll ask a few background questions to assess fit, and you’ll have a chance to ask me anything you'd like about the therapy process.
02.
Begin with a Personalized First Session
If we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule your first full session. This session is all about gathering the information I need to understand your background, concerns, and goals. Together, we’ll develop a treatment plan that’s tailored to your needs and preferences, setting the foundation for our work together.
03.
Ongoing Sessions Focused on Your Goals
In follow-up sessions, we’ll begin working toward the goals we identified using the therapeutic approaches we agreed upon. I typically recommend weekly sessions at first to build momentum and recognize patterns, but I’ll always collaborate with you to find a rhythm that fits your life.
